Our goal for this program was to establish a consistent schedule to improve functionality, detect malfunctions and extend the life of our customers’ gate operators. This reduces downtime, alleviates frustration and prevents the concern of an unsecured home or business.

1.  Peace of Mind

Our experienced technicians will visit your property and make a detailed assessment of your gate operator. From there, we design a customized plan based on the number of components in your system, its expected daily use and location on the property.

Once we’ve developed a plan, our technicians will come to your property monthly, biannually or annually to conduct a preventive maintenance check. During this time, we’ll follow a 24-point checklist along with your gate operator’s manufacturer recommendations.

 

2.  Detailed Inspections

In our 24-point checklist, we test and inspect everything from run timers and gearheads to belts and clutches. In addition to the gate operator itself, we also conduct an in-depth test of your safety devices. From there, we identify any obstructions, report any variances and if a repair is needed – provide a written estimate based on current pricing.

 

3.  Transparency Start-to-Finish

Once an estimate is approved, our technicians will complete the repairs your time and our resources allow for. Any repairs that can’t be completed during the scheduled Shield Preventive Maintenance appointment will resume once a follow-up is scheduled with our office.
